Congratulations to OLL Parishioner, Doug Flamboe! He was appointed by the Supreme Council of the Knights of Columbus, to serve as the New "District Deputy" for the State of Michigan Knights of Columbus.
Doug has been a member of OLL's Council 7115 for the past 22 years. He has served as Grand Knight, Deputy Grand Knight, Trustee, and briefly as Membership Director. In his new role as District Deputy, he will oversee four councils in the West Michigan Area: Holland, Grand Haven, Muskegon, and Coopersville. Congratulations Doug!
A District Deputy for the Knights of Columbus is a leadership role responsible for supervising and providing guidance to several subordinate councils (usually 4-5) within a defined geographic district. This appointed officer acts as a representative of the State and Supreme Knights, offering support to local councils in areas of administration, membership recruitment, and charitable outreach to ensure growth and effective program implementation, as outlined in the District Deputy's Guide.
