Great getting to know the Hope College Catholics

    Dinner at Tunnel Park

Our council partnered with the Hope College group “Hope Catholics” and St. Benedict Institute at Hope College to support worship, evangelization and fellowship opportunities for students. Aimed at students to encourage them to remain active in Catholic activities while in college. A great day!

    AWARD winning council

Council 7115 wins Double star status in 2022

Star Council Award and Double Star

The Star Council Program is the Order’s premier flagship award for successful councils that stay true to the vision of our founder, Blessed Michael McGivney. This program recognizes and rewards councils for excellence in membership growth, insurance, and Faith in Action programs. Councils that attain Star Council status and achieve 200 percent of their gain goal will receive the Double Star Council Award.

    • MembershipGrowth:As our programs demand more helping hands, we should always look for Catholic men in our parishes and communities who can help the council meet the growing needs of our communities. Not only are helping hands needed, this is a way to evangelize other Catholics and instill in

them the need to help and see others as our neighbors, according to Church teaching, and to continually grow in our faith and spiritual development.

    • Insurance: Many do not consider providing financial protection for themselves and their families. By
educating our members about our Family Fraternal Benefits program, we make them aware of the need
      to provide for their family.
    • Faith in Action Programs:As Catholic men, we have an obligation to live the virtue of charity and model
our faith through the corporal and spiritual works of mercy. Faith in Action programs are designed to help men and their families answer this call. These programs continue to be the foundation on which the Order is based. Through this witness of faithful action we are able to draw men to join our ranks as brother Knights.

Person to Person services to the most vulnerable

Knights continue to be involved with their communities. This is especially evident in KofC 7115 support of St. Vincent De Paul (SVdP). In addition to recently serving over 60 households with groceries and basic living needs, SVdP is now partnering to aide in rent Assistance.  If you are looking to help in this area, send us an email at kofc7115@gmail.com. Our local SVdP can be reached at 616-394-0676  or to find out more visit:  https://www.stfrancisholland.org/svdp . SVdP currently is in need of canned beans, paper towel, soups, laundry soap and winter gloves/mittens. May God richly Bless you for your continued generosity to the Holland community.
